Marc Lefranc
I am research scientist at the Centre national de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and I work at the Laboratoire de Physique des Lasers, Atomes, Molécules in the Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, France.
I am also associated with the Interdisciplinary Research Institute in Lille.
My main research interests are in nonlinear dynamics, instabilities and chaos, in optical and biological systems. More precisely :
- Dynamics of genetic regulatory networks: Genetic oscillations, circadian clocks,...
- Characterization of deterministic chaos in signals, most notably by topological methods based on knot theory. [More information here]
- Dynamics of optical systems (lasers, optical parametric oscillators,...)
I am a member of the ANR/BBSRC MINICLOCK project (2008-2010) as well as of the research networks DYCOEC (Dynamique et Contrôle des Ensembles Complexes, GDR 2984) and CELLTISS (Physique de la Cellule au tissu, GDR 3070).
